Dawid Figielek was born in Gorzów Wielkopolski (Poland) in 1979, graduating in fine arts at the Academy of his state. Although he has traveled to several countries, he continues to live and create in his hometown. The river, the lights, the temperature changes throughout the year and the political transition (transitions) of Poland are a constituent part of his identity.
The individual in front of the absolute that becomes nothingness. Loneliness amidst a light that is at the same time darkness. A world of its own, always disturbing and at the same time attractive. This isolated figure is present in much of his work. And even when he goes into the abstract, he does not cease to build a personal world.
It is not easy to look away from his paintings.
