Angel 41 es un artista nacido y afincado en Manchester que mantiene su anonimato. Solo sabemos que se dio a conocer en 2009 en una exposición en la prestigiosa Galería Lazarides de Londres.
Su trabajo, pese a ser de pequeño formato, tiene algo de arte urbano, combinando texturas y formas abstractas. Sus expresivas obras de arte exponen un mundo subterráneo de confusión psicológica al tiempo que reflejan la naturaleza cambiante de las calles y las gentes.
Sus relaciones espaciales abstractas conforman una considerable complejidad de significados de amargura, ironía y humor negro. En estas obras poderosas y emocionales, la pintura parece cobrar vida propia, fluyendo y extendiéndose para formar misterios abstractos y orgánicos que cuentan un mundo fragmentado y caótico.
El artista ha participado en exposiciones individuales y colectivas con Lazinc, Mirus Gallery, Red Propeller y Lawrence Alkin Gallery, así como subastas en Dreweatts & Bloomsbury, junto a artistas como Banksy, Nick Walker, Martin Whatson, Tracey Emin y Damien Hirst.
Angel 41 is an artist born and raised in Manchester who has maintained his anonymity. He only became known in 2009 during an exposition at the prestigious Lazarides Gallery in London.
His work, despite its small format, has somewhat of an urban touch combined with textures and abstract forms. His expressive works of art exhibit an underground world of psychological confusion while reflecting the ever changing nature of streets and of people.
His abstract spatial connections make up a considerable complexity of meanings, irony and black humour. In these powerful and emotional works, the paint seems to take on life itself, flowing and extending to form abstract and organic mysteries that tell the story of a fragmented and chaotic world.
The artist has participated in individual expositions and collectives with Lazinc, Mirus Gallery, Red Propeller and Lawrence Alkin Gallery, as well as auctions in Dreweatts & Bloomsbury, together with artists like Banksy, Nick Walker, Martin Whatson, Tracey Emin and Damien Hirst.
